Nestling in the beautiful Lincolnshire Wolds, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Donington On Bain is small village with a typical Victorian built primary school. However, when we were approached by headteacher Louise Anyan to design an outdoor classroom to compliment the existing outdoor provisions, it soon became clear that this is no typical primary […]
Building great play spaces is our speciality, however this one exceeded all expectations! We were tasked with designing a play structure to cover an ugly waste treated plant that sat in the middle of a beautiful location in the heart of this pretty little school. The design was presented to the school and subsequently christened […]
This fantastic little school recently benefited from an overall of its EYFS play area with the addition of a role play house, mud kitchen, storage units, a water wall, climbing tower, mini pirate ship and much needed new artificial grass playground surface with cushioning/fall protection beneath.

The open sided canopy would allow wind, rain and detritus to blow into the space making it a dirty, cold and generally unusable space for much of the year. After much discussion with staff the design and subsequent […]
We were tasked to come up with a playground scheme that could evolve over time as funds became available. Phase 1 is complete with the addition of a replacement play surface, a construction zone, water wall, storage units, mud kitchen, role play house and a storytelling chair. The children and staff love it!
At Charles Baines Community Primary School we undertook a complete renovation of the EYFS play area. The design was finalised in conjunction with staff and pupils and they were blown away by the result. The finished product includes an outdoor classroom with sunken sandpit, sensory pathway, reading canopy, ‘Hobbit House’ role play house, storytelling area, […]
Our very original and rustic approach to design and construction lead us to complete this stunning outdoor classroom for Marton Primary School. The project was funded by prize money awarded to the school after winning a national competition for ‘sustainability’. The outdoor classroom project had to fit this ethos and so we designed and constructed […]
Our brief was to transform the tired outdoor area at the Sleaford New Life Preschool. We included a sensory trail winding its way thorough the garden in order to make it usable all year round. Additionally we included a covered sandpit, mud kitchen and digging area, water wall and gravel play area, storytelling dell, wildlife […]
Pupils at St. Mary’s Primary School in Welton near Lincoln had a great surprise when they returned after the summer holidays to find a Pirate Ship had sailed into the school grounds! A fantastic addition to the schools play resources!
We completely re-designed a small and challenging EYFS play area with the addition of a small play-tower, role play house, raised planting beds, storytelling dell, fencing and an outdoor classroom / parent waiting shelter.
